Multi-Platform Cam Streaming (2026): The Studio Setup Guide

Multi-platform streaming means broadcasting a model to several cam sites at once, so one hour of her time reaches more audiences. How much bandwidth you actually need

Plan around each simultaneous stream, not the model. A single 1080p stream commonly needs roughly 4 to 6 Mbps of upload, so a model streaming locally to three sites at once needs that several times over.

Run the math for your studio: streams live at peak, times the per-stream figure, plus 30 to 50 percent headroom so a busy evening doesn't drop connections. This is exactly where local multistreaming hits a wall and a cloud relay helps, because the relay turns many uploads into one. The rules that decide if you can

Before you set any of this up, check each platform's current terms, because multistreaming is not universally allowed and the rules change.

Quality drops as you add sites. Switch to hardware encoding and lower the per-stream bitrate before you drop resolution.
